Our Super bedding is an innovative product which is ideally suited for use in the horse's box. Super bedding is made from straw, and heat-treated for optimal properties.
Super bedding for horses is a worthy alternative to e.g. ordinary straw, sawdust, wood flour and wood pellets. The bedding gives you the optimal conditions for efficient cleaning of the horse's box.
Formidable absorbency – The surface of the bedding will always appear dry and pleasant, as liquid is sucked up from the bottom. You will be able to clearly see a difference from other types of bedding, from the moment you step into the horse's box.
Soft surface - Even older horses can safely use the soft and springy Super bedding as a resting bed. As Super bedding is also very hygienic, the horse's coat will be cleaner than if it had been in other types of bedding. And then the substrate with Super bedding is particularly gentle on the hooves if the horse prefers to stand upright. We recommend that you litter while the horse is out of the horse box.
Gentle on the hooves - As Super bedding effectively encapsulates moisture due to its high absorbency, bacteria and fungi have poor growth conditions in the substrate. This means that the risk of infections in the hoof and an acidic environment are minimised.

SUITABLE FOR HORSE BOXES
As Super bedding is heat treated, the bedding is close to being 100% sterile. The bedding's high absorbency enables the product to encapsulate moisture. This type of bedding is particularly suitable as bedding in stables with foals, horses, which for other reasons require a cleaner environment.
Super bedding binds ammonia, which firstly reduces odor nuisances, and secondly minimizes the fly infestation in the summer months. At the same time, the dust nuisance from Superstrøelse is minimal.
Among other advantages, it can be mentioned that Super bedding does not bind to concrete, which makes it easier to clean and wash the box and the stable corridor. The light bedding makes it easy to muck out on a daily basis without too much waste - and you don't get the muck filled up as quickly.
Super bedding absorbs up to 5 – 6 times its own weight, and is also biodegradable. In other words, you get a bedding product that is clean, environmentally friendly and incredibly hygienic. And then Super bedding is a much cheaper solution than the traditional types of bedding.
A GOOD ALTERNATIVE
HOW IS LITTERING USED FOR HORSES?
Super bedding from Jens-Olaf can be used in the same way as other types of bedding. You should start fresh when you replace your usual bedding with Super bedding.
Start by cleaning the box of old litter. The example applies to a typical horse box of 12m², where 75kg must be placed at the bottom and then sprinkled with 2-4kg per week. You should remove horse poop every single day. With Super bedding it is easy to muck out without too much of the precious bedding going to waste.
In addition, you must tear the box so that the litter is evenly distributed, and then the surface is nice and uniform. Then the horse has the best prerequisites for comfort during the time it spends in the box.
